feature phone

Even though smartphone penetration continues to increase, there’s no denying the tangible benefits of new and refurbished feature phones for the developing world. And it seems almost impossible to argue that old handsets are better off in landfills rather than being recycled. But the importance of fashion and brand over functionality means ‘candybars’ are becoming popular again, even for the tech-inclined. (Digital backlash, anyone?) Which makes total sense when you think about it: why shouldn’t some phones work exclusively as communication devices rather than miniature computers?
