Viewed along the timeline of computing languages, HTML5 is where we are now in 2013. It promises to bring us the cross-platform consistency we crave, in an open and reliable environment that works equally well on all devices. But will the standardisation inspire a new crop of innovators, who’ll take responsive design even further before HTML5 has the chance to work its magic? Maybe, but either way we're psyched to finally leave Flash behind, once and for all.
